British Broadcasting Corporation Worldwide has renewed its contract with Accipiter for use of the Raleigh firm’s ad management program known as AdBureau.

Accipter reported that the number of ad impressions on the BBC Worldview web site increased to 25 million from 3 million per month over the past year.

Accipter’s service provides real-time features such as keyword targeting.

“We determined that AdBureau continues to be the most cost-effective solution available to meet our needs, and we’re already very pleased with the level of service and support Accipiter has provided over the past five years,” explained Rebecca Woodward, head of New Media and Syndication, BBC Worldwide, in a statement. “The Accipiter team strives to not only meet our day-to-day ad serving needs, but also to provide extra services such as backup trafficking support when our in-house traffic managers are on holiday or simply need an extra hand.”

The decision to renew the contract came after an extended review, the companies said.
