Pozen Hires Long-Time Glaxo Executive as CFO

William Hodges, a long-time executive with GlaxoSmithWellcome, is the newest member of the management team at Pozen.

Hodges takes over as chief financial officer and senior vice president for finance and administration.

Matthew Czajkowski, the previous CFO, resigned for personal and family reasons in January, according to the company. John Barnhardt, the vice president of finance and administration, replaced Czajkowski on an interim basis.

Hodges worked most recently as CFO at Pergo, Inc. in Raleigh. Hodges joined Burroughs Wellcome in 1985, and in 1991 joined the Wellcome Foundation. He returned to Burroughs Wellcome in 1993, and was senior vice president and CFO of the merged GlaxoWellcome before the company merged again with another firm to form GlaxoSmithKline.
