Global Software, a developer of financial and enterprise reporting software, says it added 38 new customers and recorded a 287 percent increase in revenue in the second quarter.

The company offers an Excel-based, real-time view into a company’s general ledger.
Its ease of use and the addition of features as requested by customers helped drive Global’s growth, the company says.

“We’ve addressed a series of problematic issues voiced by CFOs and corporate accounting offices,” said Spencer Kupferman, Global’s vice president for corporate affairs, in a statement. “By doing so, we’ve created a standard: CFOs and corporate accounting offices need real-time access to their general ledgers, inventories and other vital data. Business moves too fast for executives to wait for a report to be run.”

Global Software was founded in 1981.

New customers include Coca Cola Bottling Co., Drexel Heritage Furniture Industries, Gendex (Italy), MHI Equipment Europe and Mohawk Paper.
