Revenues for US LEC (Nasdaq: CLEC) hit $91.6 million in the most recent quarter, but the communications and services firm still reported a loss of $5.1 million.

Income was boosted by a $3 million payment from BellSouth as settlement of a dispute over carrier charges.

US LEC reported income of $12.9 million before income taxes and other expenses.

Revenues were up 17 percent over the same time period in 2003 and 8 percent from the previous quarter. It reported a near-$8 million loss for the second quarter a year ago.
