Dave Neal, a former executive at Bloodhound software, is the new chief executive officer at Crispin Corporation, a provider of broadcast automation software and other services.

Neal replaces Alan DeVaney, the founder of Crispin, who remains president of the firm. The company said DeVaney would focus on product development and customer service.

Crispin said Neal “has maintained a relationship with Crispin Corporation since 2002, providing strategic direction for company development and growth.” He served most recently as chief financial officer at Bloodhound.

Neal is also an adjunct faculty member at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business and the UNC School of Law.
