CHARLOTTE…Geoff Ables, president of Customer Connect Associates Inc., presented “Making Sense of CRM: A Customer Relationship Management Primer,” at the National Center for Database Marketing Conference in San Francisco.

Paul Johnson, direct marketing manager for Microsoft’s customer relationship marketing group joined Ables in another presentation, “CRM for Marketers: Understanding the Processes, People and Technologies Required to Build a Customer Driven Organization.”

The Direct Marketing Association (DMA), a trade group for businesses interested in interactive and database marketing with 4,700 member companies in the U.S. and 53 nations, organized the conference.

Ables is an author, speaker and consultant in database marketing, sales process development and automation, data mining and customer relationship management.

He developed the Direct Marketing Association’s CRM seminar. He has spoken on the subjects of CRM, sales lead management and database marketing at conferences across the country and in Europe.

His views on Customer Relationship Management have been featured in Business Week, CRMGuru.com, iMarketing News, DMA Spotlight, American Marketing Association’s The Source, iBiz Resources, and Target Marketing Magazine. He is the author of the soon-to-be-released book Customer Connections.
