RESEARCH TRIANGLE…Sony Ericsson announced three new camera phone models and several accessories for its mobile phones Thursday.
The company, which is based in London but has a manufacturing facility in RTP, touted the advanced features of its new products.
They include:
The K500 camera phone, which looks like a phone on one side and a camera on the other.
The P910 smartpnone, which combines a phone, PDA, email and Web browsing, includes a keyboard, large touch screen, handwriting recognition and triple band coverage.
Two new camera phones, the S710a megapixel and the Z500 clamshell, that take advantage of the company’s Edge technology, which provides fast wireless data access, content downloads, messaging and interactive online gaming.
Accessories such as two new Bluetooth headsets and an innovative desk speaker phone.
A partnership with Gameloft that will let users of Son Ericsson phones play 3D games with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell and Pandora Tomorrow first up.
