Lenders InSight, Raleigh, has selected Phoenix-based iLinc Communications Inc. (AMEX:ILC), which sells integrated Web and audio conferencing systems, to develop a customized version of its software for the mortgage industry.
InSight will use the iLink software to streamline the mortgage process the company says. It will let users shopping for a mortgage to replace in-person meeting with a broker with live Web meetings.
Using the customized Web conferencing software developed by iLinc, Lenders InSight is targeting the estimated 360,000 people employed by mortgage brokerage companies that generated sales activity totaling $2.5 trillion in 2002, iLinc says.
Other financial services companies that have chosen iLinc, including JPMorgan Chase, Aetna, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Travelers Insurance, and CitiGroup.
