WINSTON-Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has signed on with Time Warner Telecom for high-speed Ethernet data and Internet services from Time Warner Telecom.
Krispy Kreme will link three sites in the Winston-Salem area over the Time Warner Telecom network.
“The Time Warner Telecom Switched Native LAN service delivers 100 megabits per second links between our three major facilities in North Carolina,” said Sam Gray director of technical services for Krispy Kreme, in a statement. “That represents a substantial bandwidth upgrade for us at about half the cost of alternative solutions. That’s a great value proposition.” He also pointed out that the company would use the Time Warner Telecom service as part of its disaster recovery solution.
Time Warner Telecom has local fiber networks in Charlotte, Rockingham, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Fayetteville, Greensboro, High Point, Thomasville, Winston-Salem, and Burlington, which are connected with regional fiber.
