The City of Carlsbad, NM, recently used emergency management software from Blue292 to help deal with a natural gas problem that required the evacuation of some 1,000 people.
“Blue EM facilitated the situation absolutely perfectly,” said Elizabeth Baggs, emergency preparedness coordinator, City of Carlsbad, in a statement. “It just made it so much easier – all the info was captured for later on and could bring everyone up to speed during shift changes. Using Blue EM, we saved weeks of man-hours that would have been spent pushing papers during the emergency and in the days and weeks that followed.”
The City utilized Blue292’s Blue Emergency Management solution in working with 18 different organizations as part of the evacuation. The software collected, stored and reported incident details and activities for access by emergency workers and other personnel through cell phones.
