Steve McAbee, who has 17 years of experience in the communications industry, is the new general manager of the Blanc & Otus agency in Atlanta.

McAbee replaces Beverly McDonald and Peter Baron, the co-founders of the office.

McAbee has worked with Lucent, MCI and AT&T among other firms. He was promoted from vice president of the office.

“Steve brings a wealth of experience developing and managing communications programs and brand strategies,” said Greg Spector, Blanc & Otus president and CEO, in a statement. “He has a proven track record of building solid relationships with clients, as made evident in his former role at Blanc & Otus as a vice president in the Atlanta office. I’m confident that Steve is the leader with the right mix of skills and experience to take our office in Atlanta to great success.”

Blanc & Otus clients in Atlanta include Stonesoft, Elluminate, Highwall Technologies, VistaScape Security Systems, BroadWare, Vector Networks, and Quantum Loyalty Systems.
