BioSentry, a developer of biosecurity for animal health prevention services in 50 countries, is being acquired by DuPont.
The acquisition was announced Wednesday morning.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This year’s Avian Influenza outbreaks further demonstrate the importance of preventive biosecurity to protect operations and the food chain from the effects of virus and disease,” said Nick Fanandakis, a vice president with DuPont Chemical Solutions. “This acquisition will enable us to further meet existing and emerging needs, contributing to the continued growth of our overall Clean and Disinfect business.”

BioSentry offers clean and disinfectant products in addition to its biosecurity programs.
