Ben Brooks, founding partner of Southern Capitol Ventures, has agreed to serve as a member of Elon University’s venture capital board and also will speak regularly at programs offered by the university’s Love School of Businesses.
To further help the business school, the venture firm will sponsor a student scholarship.
Elon, a private institution, was founded in 1889. It recently was cited as one of U.S. News & World Report’s top 10 universities in the South.
