PriceMcNabb, one of the leading marketing and public relations firms in Charlotte, was acquired by a New York-based firm on Monday.

PriceMcNabb, the fifth largest agency in Charlotte with revenues of $34 million a year according to The Charlotte Observer, has worked with numerous technology-based firms and others that work with tech firms in the Charlotte metro area.

Eric Mower and Associates, which is based in Syracuse, NY, acquired Price McNabb in a deal that creates an agency with $155 million in annual revenues and 200 employees. It maintains offices in Atlanta plus four New York cities — Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester and Albany.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

PriceMcNabb has some 30 employees. The Charlotte Observer reported that two people would be laid off as a result of the merger. PriceMcNabb was founded in 1967.The companies said PriceMcNabb management would run the Charlotte operation under the name Eric Mower Associates / Price McNabb.

Eppes becomes a senior partner and a member of the board of directors with Eric Mower.
