Java application developer JBoss and Novell will work together to support JBoss Application Server to run with Novell’s exteNd customers, the companies said Monday.
The firms will work together to provide technical and professional services. The announcement was made at a Java conference in San Francisco.
Novell will provide technical support to customers deploying JBoss Application Server and will work with JBoss to developer enterprise-level services, including training, consulting and custom programming.
“Novell’s partnership with JBoss is a natural extension of our open source strategy and provides an additional, market-leading deployment platform for our customers who are looking to leverage their identity-centric infrastructure with service-oriented applications,” said Frank Auger, Novell vice president of product management and marketing for Novell products exteNd and Nsure, in a statement. “This relationship enhances Novell’s ability to promote open source as a viable alternative for organizations that want to take advantage of the flexibility provided by these products.”
