Interoute, which operates one of Europe’s largest telecommunications networks, is expanding its operations in the U.S. with a new North American subsidiary. It will be based in Atlanta.
Jay belodoff, who previously managed Interoute’s business development, was named vice president of the new group. He will be joined in Atlanta by sales engineer Jaime Agudelo.
Sales director Tom Burke will be based in New York.
“Access to our vast network, including enhanced voice and media services, is being received very strongly in the U.S., leading to the establishment of this physical presence,” said James Kinsella, executive chairman of Interoute, in a statement. “With more than 20 years of collective experience in management and business development at major corporations, Jay and his team will be a primary asset to the further development of Interoute’s U.S. operations.”
