ChannelAdvisor is teaming up with buySAFE to provide sellers on eBay with bonded protection.
The two firms will provide buySAFE seals to auction listings, protecting customers with surety bonds from The Hartford Financial Services Group.
The deal includes co-marketing and software integration. It was announced at an eBay conference in New Orleans.

Sellers whose transactions are bonded by a reputable company enjoy the distinct competitive advantage of increased buyer confidence, which translates into more bids, higher prices and greater profitability,” said Scot Wingo, CEO and president of ChannelAdvisor, in a statement. “This new feature is one more way our sellers can stay ahead of their competition and grow their businesses to the next level.”
ChannelAdvisor, an auction management software provider, announced a partnership with an IT services provider and the fact that it received an eBay award for the second straight year.
The buySAFE with The Hartford program is open to approved sellers and protects the seller’s performance on behalf of buyers. Sellers are subjection to qualification tests.
The Hartford underwrites the bonds. Buyers will receive refunds in the event the seller does not fulfill terms of the agreement.

Our goal with this agreement is to offer ChannelAdvisor customers a competitive edge when selling online.”
ChannelAdvisor has also struck a partnership with Real World Ventures, which is focused on marketplace integration applications and business process consulting. Real World Ventures will offer automated integration of ChannelAdvisor applications to online sellers.
RTP-based ChannelAdvisor received an eBay Star Developer award for the second straight year. The “Service to the Community” honor recognizes ChannelAdvisor’s work to help improve eBay’s developer program and to assist fellow members.
