US LEC will provide a variety of communications services for Carlyle & Co., linking its stores across 11 states.
US LEC will be the company’s sole provider of voice and data service after recently completing a frame-relay network between Carlyle’s 36 jewelry store locations.
“We have 36 stores in 11 states, and those numbers continue to grow, so we needed a single carrier who could meet our needs now, but also be flexible enough to grow with us as our business grows,” said Ron Swanson, vice president of information services for Carlyle & Co., in a statement. “Not one of the other vendors could implement a cost-efficient, company-wide network for us. US LEC had the best coverage, and they were willing to work with our specific needs.”
