Mylan Bertek Pharmaceuticals will get a new president on July 6 when Michael Marquard takes over.
Marquard worked formerly for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. He was senior vice president of US sales since 1996.
Mylan Bertek is based in Research Triangle Park. It was formerly known as Bertek, but parent company Mylan, which is based in Pittsburgh, recently announced plans to change the name.
Marquard will also serve as a vice president of Mylan.
James Mauzey, the current president of Bertek, is retiring as of June 30. He joined Mylan in 2000 and helped develop Bertek and its sales force.
