John Ratliff, a former executive with Acterna, is the new chief financial officer at Quintiles Transnational.
Ratliff replaces James Bierman, who retires as of June 30. His retirement was announced earlier this year.
Ratliff worked for IBM for 19 years before joining Acterna where he was CFO and senior vice president. Acterna provides test solutions for telecommunications firms.
He earned his MBA at Duke and a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering at Georgia Tech.
