BellSouth added wireless DSL sercvice to its business offerings Thursday.
The company introduced a wireless router that integrates a Digital Subscriber Line and the option of wired or wireless Internet access.
The router also includes built-in firewall protection and the benefit of reduced wireing costs. A wireless LAN can be set up anywhere within 250 feet of the router, the company said.
“This new offering positions certain small businesses to communicate like a big business without the big business cost,” said David Scobey, president of BellSouth Small Business Services, in a statement. “With the introduction of this new wireless product, small businesses can maximize their telecommunications investment by allowing employees to connect to their network from any location in the workplace.”
