Closure Medical Chairman Retires, Is Replaced by J. Daniel Cole

Ronald Ahrens retired from the board of directors at Closure Medical on Wednesday, the same day his term expired.

Elected to replace him was J. Daniel Cole, who has been a general partner of Spray Venture Partners in Boston since 1997. Cole has also worked for Boston Scientific and SciMed Life Systems. He joined Closure’s board last July.

Also leaving the board is F. William Schmidt, who helped start the company in 1990 and has been a director since 1996.
