BellSouth’s testing and assessment facility in Birmingham, AL has received prestigious and internationally recognized ISO 900 1:2000 certification.
The 85,000 square foot facility is used to assess and test communications systems and software. The center has also received Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. The certification is for “provision of testing services and technical consulting for communications systems and services,” BellSouth said.
“This certification is a key milestone which further identifies BTAC as a world-class commercial testing lab,” said Tom Beason, senior director of the facility, in a statement.
“The BTAC approach is to provide reliable testing services
conducted by technical experts using the latest technologies available.”
The facility was opened in 1992 and is staffed by 59 specialists.
