Solution 6, a provider of enterprise solutions based in Atlanta, has been acquired by Francisco Partners, a private equity firm.

As part of the deal, Francisco Partners named Michael Simmons as chief executive officer. He replaces Darryl Jackson.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I am very excited about the opportunity before us,” said Simmons, who has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, in a statement. “We look forward to working with Francisco Partners and continuing to serve our existing world-class customer base and grow our business.”

Solution 6 provides software for services organizations, including financial, resource and practice management applications. Customers include Accenture, American Express, Deloitte Consulting, Ernst & Young, KPMG LLP and Skadden Arps.

The company has offices in Asia and Europe.
