MATTHEWS,CEM Corporation, a developer of microwave laboratory instrumentation technology, has received a patent for a line of microwave synthesis systems.
The “PowerMax” technology is used in pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications.
According to the company, the process “allows chemical reactions to be simultaneously cooled while being irradiated with microwave energy. This allows higher levels of microwave energy for a given temperature, which can result in higher product yields and new pathways.”
