Mike Violano, vice president and general manager of the newly named eBook and eReader at PowerBy Hand, has been elected to the board of directors for the Open eBook Forum.
The forum is setting trade and standards for the e-book industry.
Violano is not new to publishing, having spent 25 years in the businesses with such firms as Simon & Schuster and Macmillan USA.
eReader.com is the new name for the online book site offered by PowerByHand.
