SAS inSchool, which develops web-based instructional software and assessment services, has selected a North Carolina teacher to receive its annual Creative Teacher Award.
The winner is JoAnne Blanks, who teaches American history, at Person High School in Roxboro.
Blanks uses SAS inSchool to enhance lessons that address meeting the writing and speaking goals of the NC Standard Course of Study.
“SAS inSchool is the critical thinking, researching and responding link that students have long been missing in their education,” Blanks said.
Blanks receives $500 in cash and other prizes.
