SAS is rolling out a new suite of software services geared to the retailing sector.

Its Retail Intelligence Solutions, which was announced this week at the ECR European Conference in Belgium, is designed to give retailers information in three key areas:

  • Understand past customer behavior and predict future buying patterns

  • Determine the net profitability of products

  • Understand the effectiveness of promotional campaigns across multiple channels
  • The product includes customer insight, supply chain costing, promotional effectiveness and statistical performance management.
