Trinity Convergence, ARM Team Up To Produce VoIP Chip

Trinity Convergence and ARM have collaborated to produce an integrated Voice over Internet Protocol platform chip.

The VeriCall Edge includes media processing, packet handling and auto-interface functionality. It can be used for residential gateways and also for mobile wireless and WiFi handsets.

The solution will enable original equipment manufacturers to include VoIP capabilities at lower costs, with reduced design complexity, and get products to market faster, the companies said.

ARM is based in Great Britain.
