Summus, which recently brought Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit models to mobile phones, now is adding poker.

The wireless applications company said Thursday that it is adding “Phil Hellmuth’s Texas Hold ‘Em” multiplayer poker to its wireless content offerings. Hellmuth is the world poker champion, having won nine titles over the years. Verizon offers the game through its Get Games category for web enabled phones at a cost of $2.99 a month.

The game was launched Thursday at Las Vegas.

“I am extremely excited to work with Summus to promote their wireless, multiplayer Texas Hold ‘Em game,” Hellmuth said in a statement. “The future of poker is right here. Being able to play poker on your cell phone against other players across various carrier networks has tremendous potential for success.”
