Michael Cunningham, a former partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has joined Red Hat as its general counsel.
Cunningham has also served as associate general counsel at IBM. He held an associate general counsel position at PWC.
While at IBM, Cunningham was the lead legal advisor for business consulting services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mark Webbink, who was Red Hat’s general counsel since 2000, becomes deputy general counsel for intellectual property and public policy.
Cunningham joins Red Hat as of June 1.
