IBM and Cisco are expanding their relationship to include aggressive promotion of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.

“The IBM and Cisco IP communications agreement marks a milestone in the evolution of VoIP, says Yankee Group analyst Zeus Kerravala,” NewsFactor reports. “The two companies have invested heavily in IP technology and have a history of working together in this area. IBM so far has implemented some 20,000 Cisco IP telephones.”
