NDL’s 3D graphics game engine known as Gamebryo is winning more and more converts.

NDL, which is based in Chapel Hill, announced at the annual electronic entertainment event known as E3 that more than a dozen computer video games are on the way with Gamebryo driving each.

The titles include:

  • Playboy: The Mansion from ARUSH Entertainment and Groove Games, an empire-building game.

  • Sid Meier’s Pirates, an action game

  • Empire Earth 2, from Mad Doc Software

  • Zoo Tycoon 2 from Microsoft and Blue Fang Games

  • Dark Age of Camelot: New Frontiers from Mythic Entertainment. The NDL engine will also be used in two expansions from that company: Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs and New Frontiers. Catacombs.

  • Imperator from Mythic

  • Saraha from TKO Software

  • Dragon Empires from Codemasters

  • Kohan: Kings of War from TimeGate Studios

  • Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich from irrational Games.
  • Other NDL-powered games coming later this year include: TimeGate Studios and Atari’s Axis and Allies, Microids’ Knight’s Apprentice Memorick’s Adventures and Bethesda Softworks’ IHRA Professional Drag Racing 2005 .

    NDL engines are used across the major gaming platforms.
