WINSTON-Convergent Technologies, a company focused on Internet protocol telephony solutions, is providing technology to help the Winston-Salem Symphony improve service offerings.
The Symphony has moved to new headquarters in downtown and made significant improvements in its telephone system.
Convergent installed an IP office solution from Avaya. The system not only offers an automated attendant for quick routing of calls but also offers post-concert activities and 7 x 24 seat reservation capability. Symphony volunteers are also provided with guest voice mailboxes.
“Our objective was to deliver better service to patrons, season ticket holder, volunteers and other music lovers who attend performances throughout the year,” said Merritt Vale, executive director of the Symphony. “Our phone system was outdated, unreliable and inconvenient.”
The new system was demonstrated as part of a Symphony open house last week.
