Nortel has signed a contract with Charter Communications to expand the range of voice over Internet Protocol offerings made by Charter.

Nortel (NYSE: NT) said the deal expands upon a contract signed in 2002. The deal applies to Charter services in the Midwest and Great Lakes.

Also Tuesday, Nortel said it had signed a deal with Nuera Communications under which it will integrate, sell and support VOIP network gateways from Nuera.
