KENNESAW,The Cobb Microenterprise Center, which is based at Kennesaw State University, has joined the Covad Broadband Entrepreneur Program.

The microenterprise center helps low and middle income Metro Atlanta residents become entrepreneurs.

As part of the Covad program, the Cobb group receives a $500 cash grant and $2,250 to help select clients who will receive broadband service.

HP recently awarded the center a grant for as much as $250,000 to be used for technology equipment, tools, services, support and training.
