Fisher, as vice president of business development at Carolina
Pharmaceuticals, Inc., will lead a group focused on the acquisition of
currently marketed products that are in need of further advancement to
increase compliance, safety or efficacy through new delivery technology.
The company successfully launched prescription cold medicines last year, after acquiring the rights to product trademarks and introducing new time-release technology. The company plans to develop line extensions while it searches out new products to develop.
Fisher was founder and president of Strategic Pharmaceutical Solutions Inc., a specialized business development consulting company. He was also director of business development at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc., and an account manager at Eli Lilly and Company and held other industry executive positions.
