CHARLOTTE–SDN Global, a Charlotte-based satellite company says it has teamed with Linkspot to provide Internet access in recreational vehicle (RV) parks.

Linkspot, which specializes in providing Net access to remote areas, will add access in RV parks in Garrettsville, NY, Cherokee, NC, Ocala, FL, and Vacaville, CA.

SDN Global’s BroadSat service is being used by LinkSpot.

“SDN Global’s BroadSat service provides us with a cost effective means of providing T-1 like Internet access to locations where terrestrial T-1’s are either too expensive or not available within a reasonable time frame”, stated Mark Kaplan, chief technology o fficer, LinkSpot Networks.

BroadSat was designed from the ground up to provide Internet service over a satellite, says SDN.

LinkSpot Networks is the leading provider of Wi-Fi Internet service in RV parks and campgrounds throughout the United States. A privately held company, LinkSpot was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
