Triple Front Commmunications says it is moving out of email list management, and plans to provide shared web hosting services as soon as April.

Founded in May of 2003 as a regional telecom brokerage, the Raleigh-based company says the repositioning occurs in response to recent changes in federal law, such as the CAN-SPAM Act.

While Triple Front says it never engaged in sending unsolicited commercial email, founder and president Evan Rogers concedes that increased regulation by the federal government precipitated the move.

“We never sent out email for pornography or anything illegal,” Rogers said, “but given today’s environment…we decided not to take any chances”.

Since inception, the company’s primary focus had been on developing leads for telecom vendors that provided residential phone service, internet access, and wireless service plans.

“Telecom is right up our alley,” said Rogers, “so we are confident that we can have a lot of success in this market”.

The new company will target small business owners in need of an initial web presence by providing an end-to-end solution for as little as $500 per year. In addition to web hosting, Triple Front will also offer domain registration and web design services.
