e^deltacom, the data center solutions division of ITC^DeltaCom, says it has expanded in key industries, with more than 40 percent growth in customer acquisition during 2003.
The company attributes much of this growth to an increased demand for hosted storage, backup and disaster recovery services among business customers in the ASP/ISP/technology services, financial services and healthcare sectors.
During 2003, e^deltacom increased the number of customers in the ASP/ISP/technology services field by 50 percent over 2002. New customers for its hosting and managed services included HPC Interactive, T3i Inc., VoiceConX and Vascent Inc.
The Atlanta-based company also increased the number of customers in the financial services field by 80 percent from last year. New financial services customers were First Franklin Financial Corp., eBank, ITC Financial Services and ValuBond.
Also, e^deltacom says it continued to strengthen its focus on the healthcare sector. Healthcare customers who renewed contracts with the company for its hosting and managed services included Fidelis Software, MDdatacor, and Navicure.
“We experienced tremendous growth in our e^deltacom division during 2003,” said ITC^DeltaCom Chairman and CEO Larry Williams. “ITC^DeltaCom saw a 32 percent increase in operating revenues in our core integrated communications business in 2003. e^deltacom is part of this growth, providing value-added data services to those customers–.”
