Time Warner (TW) Telecom has installed integrated services to deliver voice and data for Advanced Internet Technologies (AIT), a web-hosting and e-commerce firm.

The two-year contract was awarded to TW Telecom, which serves North Carolina and 21 other states, after a competitive bid process.

“We selected Time Warner Telecom’s Internet service because they were the only provider who could cost-effectively deliver highly available fiber services,” said Ian Thieme, chief network officer for AIT. “That’s a key element in our service delivery to customers who expect round-the-clock access to their websites. Another benefit is that they can provision services much faster than other providers we’ve used.”

TW Telecom said it is delivering 65 Mbps Internet access, ISDN PRI links and DS-3 transport services to AIT’s two Fayetteville facilities to support the company’s web hosting, customer dialup and administrative office voice needs.

“Our highly reliable Internet access services help AIT, and other businesses, reduce customer churn because these services are delivered over our own high-performance, diverse networks,” said Scott Larsen, vice president and general manager for Time Warner Telecom in Fayetteville. “This capability also enables customers to add economical bandwidth more quickly than they can from other providers.”
