North Carolina’s e-procurement system is one of several programs recognized as winners in the fifth annual Digital Government Awards sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s School of Architecture and Accenture.

The awards, now in their fifth year, are designed to recognize “technology breakthroughs” in the public sector.

North Carolina’s “@ Your Service” program received the State Government Innovator award. It is used by more than 125 agencies and has processed orders totaling more than $1.6 billion.

Other winners were:

  • Federal Government Innovator – Defense Finance and Accounting Service

  • Local Government Innovator – New York City

  • Higher Education Innovator – North Shore Community College

  • Pilot/Prototype Innovator – Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles

  • Federal Agent of Change – Ken Walton, National Capital Planning
    Commission

  • State Agent of Change – Lieutenant Russ Bass, Florida Highway Patrol
