WindChannel Communications, a provider of high-speed fixed wireless Internet connectivity and data transfer services, has been tapped as the primary ISP for Curtis Media Group.

The Raleigh-based company says it has designed a redundant Internet infrastructure that enables Curtis Media, which is also based in Raleigh, to take advantage of multiple ISP circuits.

“Our wireless broadband solution provides a perfect complement to Curtis Media Group’s Internet access needs,” says Jim Crawford, vice president of business development for WindChannel. “Our solution has proven to be robust and reliable during the evaluation period.”

WindChannel’s carrier-grade network provides a wireless broadband link, and the company also has integrated an ISP load balancing solution for Curtis Media, a large independently-owned group of radio stations.

“Curtis Media Group is becoming an Internet-centric organization,” comments Paul Michels, director of group operations for Curtis Media. “WindChannel provided a cost-effective, robust solution which effectively leverages our existing assets.”
