CipherTrust says it was placed in the “Leaders” quadrant of the Gartner Enterprise Spam Filtering Magic Quadrant report published this month.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant report is an in-depth qualitative analysis of the vendors within the enterprise anti-spam market. The analysis evaluates a vendor’s vision and its ability to execute on that vision.

According to Gartner, leaders are vendors who are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

“2004 already has been a historical year for CipherTrust having received $42 million in financing earlier this week and obtaining the ‘Leaders’ quadrant position in the Magic Quadrant. Both events are exceptional milestones for our company,” said CipherTrust President and CEO Steve Raber. “Since our founding, the CipherTrust team has been committed to providing our customers with a best-of-breed email security solution, and this most recent recognition reflects what our customers already know…CipherTrust has the vision to deliver as new threats evolve.”

Spam is just one of the many email security threats CipherTrust addresses. The company’s IronMail product combines the five email security components of spam and fraud prevention, virus and worm protection, policy and content compliance, email privacy, and secure email gateway capabilities into a single easy to deploy and manage platform.
