After just two months at U.S. Networks, the IT management company has promoted Bobby McKernie from vice president of sales to president.

McKernie was hired in January to manage U.S. Networks’ sales operations. In his new role, he will oversee company operations and continue to grow U.S. Networks around its focus on organizations in need of IT management services.

“Bobby has demonstrated an outstanding propensity to fuel growth at U.S. Networks. The last quarter of 2003 was our best to that point, and the first quarter of 2004 has already exceeded those numbers,” said Andy Cummins, chief executive officer at U.S. Networks. “His leadership qualities have positioned U.S. Networks to continue on this tremendous growth track. Bobby is a natural leader with a keen focus on customer service, process engineering and revenue growth.”

Prior to U.S. Networks, McKernie was a VP at Butler Telecom Network Services, a network engineering and security consultancy, where he founded and was principal architect of its Enterprise Network practice. He also has held senior management positions at MCI, McDonnell Douglas and Burlington Air Express.

Based in Morrisville, at the former Interpath facility, U.S. Networks supplies on-demand network and IP Telephony management services. At the network operations center, engineers run technology to track all network activity, providing security analysis and risk management, remote network maintenance and help desk services.
