Revenue Technologies, a provider of revenue and price management solutions, has closed its third round of financing, this time getting $8.1 million.
The round was led by Adams Capital Management, which has offices in Boston, Pittsburgh, Austin, TX, and Palo Alto, CA. Others participating in the round include current investors Cordova Ventures and Imlay Investments, both of Atlanta.
Revenue Technologies says it will use the capital to expand the company’s sales and marketing efforts and fund new product extensions.
“In 2003, we focused on delivering to our lighthouse customers,” said Ron Farmer, chief executive officer of Revenue Technologies. “Our success there coupled with this latest round of funding further validates our strategy of delivering competitive advantage through best practice software and domain pricing experts.”
Atlanta-based Revenue Technologies, founded in 1995, offers the MarketPrice suite, which allows companies manage price variability, identify hidden pricing opportunities, determine optimal list prices, and execute segmentation strategies.
“–Revenue Technologies’ software solution, domain knowledge, and best practices in the automotive, basic materials and high tech manufacturing industries has clearly set them apart from the competition,” said Martin Neath, general partner at Adams Capital. “Pricing is unique not only to each industry, but to each company. Revenue Technologies’ targeted solutions have resulted in millions of dollars in margin contribution for customers like Motorola, ArvinMeritor, and Royster-Clark.”
Previously, Revenue Technologies raised almost $11 million in two rounds in early 2001 and again that October from Smith Harbor Ventures of Atlanta and existing investors. Other backers include Fulcrum Investments and a group of angel investors.
