Having completed its transition to private from public company, Quintiles Transnational has named a new board of directors.

Dennis Gillings, the founder of Quintiles who regained control of the firm through his Pharma Services Holdings, hailed the new group. “I believe that our new Board of Directors is extremely strong and well-suited to help guide Quintiles forward as a private company,” Gillings said in a statement. “Each member has shown extraordinary leadership skills at the highest levels of business and each brings unique and diverse experience to our board. I’m
very pleased that we’ve attracted board members of this caliber.”

The board includes Gillings, who is chairman and CEO; Richard Cashin, chairman of One Equity Partners; Clateo Castellini, director emeritus of Becton, Dickinson; Jonathan J. Coslet, senior partner, Texas Pacific Group; Jack Greenberg, former chairman and CEO of McDonald’s Corporation; Robert Ingram, vice chairman of pharmaceuticals at GlaxoSmithKline; S. Iswaran, Managing Director, Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited; Jacques Nasser, senior partner, One Equity Partners; James Rubin, Partner, One Equity Partners; and James Bierman, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Quintiles.
