The e-NC Authority will use Springboard Managed Hosting for co-location services.
The e-NC group, which was known formerly as The Rural Internet Access Authority, is a public-private partnership working to spread broadband Internet availability across the state.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Maintenance of a Web server is a tricky and delicate operation,” said Jane Patterson, executive director of e-NC. “By collocating the e-NC Web server at Springboard we have access to highly qualified tech support 24x7x365. This frees up resources we were spending elsewhere and allows us to concentrate exclusively on our mission — to enhance the lives of rural North Carolinians through the use of technology.”
