Custom software provider llamawerx has released version 1.0 of Cryotrax, an application for the inventory and process control of biological samples.

Since the award of the contract in September 2003, Morrisville-based llamawerx has been working together with CryoGene in Houston to develop a workflow process to minimize errors in the storage and retrieval of biological specimens.

“We’re happy to get this release out. We want to see the product in action and see CryoGene get the return on their investment,” said llamawerx President Judy Gerard. “The llamawerx team has worked hard to get the process nailed down and put together a system that will help CryoGene succeed.”

Cryotrax is built with a combination of Linux, open source tools, and the Java development environment.
