GREENVILLE,Kemet Corp. has appointed Don Aldworth as vice president of quality, to drive the firm’s Lean Six Sigma initiative.

“Our Lean Six Sigma initiative will not only improve our manufacturing operations, but will be instrumental in defining new and more efficient ways to support our customers’ needs globally,” said Kemet CEO Jeffrey Graves. “Results from this initiative will be lower operating costs for Kemet and our customers, shortened cycle times on new product introduction, and enhanced revenue growth through closer ties to our global customers.”

Aldworth, who will now report directly to Graves, has been with Kemet 19 years, serving in a number of organizational leadership roles in the United States and in Mexico, including most recently as director of quality. He has a degree in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech.

“Don has provided strong leadership of Kemet’s quality processes for many years,” added Graves, “and this expanded position will allow him to further strengthen Kemet’s market leadership in this area which is critical to Kemet’sfuture success.”
